Architectural Review

Exterior structural improvements and permanent construction all require prior approval from BECA's Architectural Review Committee. Examples of projects to which this applies include: siding, fences, decks, pools, sheds, driveways, dog runs, porches, sunrooms, room additions and, new homes.

Village building permits for such projects are not issued until BECA approval has been obtained. To avoid delay, it makes sense to include time for BECA's review of your construction plans. Moreover, the Architectural Review Committee is willing to assist prospective builders in the early stages of a project by offering suggestions that can help projects pass smoothly through the approval process. Please allow at least a week's lead time for the committee. Once your approval is given and your assessment payment is verified, your permit will be issued. The Architectural Review Form can be downloaded below.
